Our Church thrives because of the energy and style of the people who lead it. Here are a few of the people that make our church community special:
Mr. Jason K. Evans, originally from Edenton, NC, grew up here in Kill Devil Hills, joined the staff in June of 2007 as the Director of Music Ministries at Outer Banks Presbyterian Church. He also serves as organist and coordinates all music as well as Easter, Patriotic and Christmas Musicals using a combined choir and orchestra. Jason is a graduate of Wanchese Christian Academy and continued his education at Virginia Wesleyan College earning a BA MUS in Organ performance and Sacred Music. Prior to Jason joining the staff of Outer Banks Presbyterian Church, he served as Pianist/Music Assistant at First Baptist Church of Norfolk, VA for 13 years where he accompanied the 300-Voice Sanctuary Choir and 50-piece Orchestra and was the administrator of the church's Conservatory of Fine Arts. Hollie Writtenberry is a native of Suffolk, Virginia. She is a graduate of Nansemond Suffolk Academy and the University of Mary Washington, where she received a Bachelors of Arts in Music and Education. She began teaching in 1999, and she is currently a music teacher at Manteo Elementary School. In addition to her teaching career, Hollie enjoys being a mother, spending time outdoors, reading, and playing the flute and saxophone. She is also a private music instructor and a Certified Pharmacy Technician. Hollie joined the staff of Outer Banks Presbyterian Church in September 2012 as the Sanctuary Choir Director, Handbell Director, and Youth Director. In 2015, she resigned as choir director to devote her time to Youth, Children, and Young Families. She has over twenty years experience working with churches in many capacities including youth ministry, music ministry, Vacation Bible School, and small group facilitator. Cathie brings a wealth of experience to the position of Church Secretary. She served several statewide organizations before she and her husband both retired to Nags Head in February 2016. Cathie served as executive director of the NC Academy of Physician Assistants, headquartered in Durham. Prior to that service, Cathie was executive director of the NC Association for the Education of Young Children in Raleigh. She was also a graduate research assistant for the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute in Chapel Hill. Before moving to the Raleigh area, Cathie was a program specialist for the Council for Professional Recognition in Washington, DC.
A Bachelor of Science graduate of Towson State University in early childhood education, Cathie holds a MA degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Education, specializing in early childhood, families, and literacy.

Heather Day resides in Kill Devil Hills with her daughter Taylor Nicole. She living on the Outer Banks for over 30 years. She is also the Guest Accounting Manager for Brindley Beach Vacations & Sales. Heather is excited to be working with the babies and young children in our church and invites folks to stop by and visit the nursery.
Brenda Feury, Sexton
Brenda Feury is our church Sexton. She is a native from a small town in West Virginia. She has a daughter and two grandchildren. She lived in Richmond, Virginia and worked for Philip Morris. She moved to the Outer Banks in 1994 and lives in Kill Devil Hills. She has worked in several real estate offices and also worked at the Lost Colony. Brenda is a wonderful addition to our staff and we appreciate all she does to maintain our church building.
